With the nights drawing in and the air getting colder, the start of winter has no doubt had us all dreaming of a cup of mulled wine and a cosy night in. On Monday, Leeds RAG Fashion Show provided exactly that with Drink & Draw, their first fundraiser for the 2022 show.
Attendees were invited to a charity art session to get their creative juices flowing whilst sipping and relaxing in the tipi tent installation outside Leeds University Union. Whether amateur doodles or works of art, the chance to take a moment to unwind with a drink and pen in hand made it the perfect evening to start off the busy week.
Bedecked with fairy lights, log cabin tables and calm music, the tipi tent set the perfect cosy winter scene to enjoy with friends, and not to mention the on-site bar. Serving drinks (at affordable prices) such as warm spiced apple rum and mulled wine, it proved to be a favourite amongst artists and event staff alike. Also at the event were some of LRFS 22's models, providing not only a chance to meet the people we'll be seeing on stage come February time, but also art inspiration for drawers all round. Drink & Draw also had ticket options with entry to Bobby's Disco club night thrown in, meaning the night didn't have to end there!
All money raised from LRFS 22’s events are going to their chosen charities: Stop Hate UK and The Racial Justice Network. LRFS plan to raise a record £30,000 to support these two incredible organisations, meaning there will be many more amazing fundraisers coming up soon.
If you missed this event don’t fret, the LRFS X GoodLife launch party at Belgrave Music Hall is coming up on Thursday 2nd December! This is not to be missed, with exclusive access to pre-sale LRFS show tickets, official show theme reveal, Good Life DJs, a jazz band, Belgrave cocktails, a charity point and fantastic vibes! Don't miss out. Tickets are available now!
